Zirconia ceramics is a new type of ceramics, which are mainly divided into three types:

magnesium stabilized zirconia ceramics (Mg-ZrO2)
cerium stabilized zirconia（ZrO2 + CeO）
yttrium stabilized zirconia（YSZ）

High melting point

The melting point of zirconium oxide ceramic is 2715 degrees ℃, which can be used as a better refractory material.

Hardness, good wear resistance

Zirconium oxide ceramics have a greater hardness and good wear resistance. The Mohs hardness of zirconium oxide ceramics is around 8.5, very close to the Mohs hardness of sapphire 9.

Relativestrength and toughness

Zirconium oxide ceramics have a high strength (up to 1500MPa).

Low thermal conductivity and low expansion coefficient

The thermal conductivity of zirconium oxide ceramic is lowest among common ceramic materials (1.6-2.03W/(m.k) and the coefficient of thermal expansion is close to that of metals. zirconia ceramic part
is often used in mechanical equipment parts.

Good electrical performance

The dielectric constant of zirconium oxide is 3 times that of sapphire, the signal is more sensitive and has no shielding effect on the electromagnetic signal.
