We are surrounded by various communication information every day. Broadcasting, mobile phones, radio communication, navigation, remote sensing, etc. are constantly filling our world and becoming a part of life. The reason why they can serve us normally is not only because of modern and developed network technology, but also because of the important media - antenna.
An antenna is a transducer that transforms a guided wave propagating on a transmission line into an electromagnetic wave propagating in an unbounded medium (usually referred to as free space), or vice versa. It is a component used in an antenna device to transmit or receive electromagnetic waves. In communication equipment, where electromagnetic waves are required to transmit information, they rely on the antenna to work. For some non-signal signals that need to be transmitted by electromagnetic waves, the energy radiation also requires an antenna. The antenna is the key to the entire communication LAN. Once a problem occurs, the entire area will lose its signal connection and the entire area will be in chaos.
 
Antennas are versatile and can be used in a variety of environments and are therefore highly demanding. In order to ensure that the antenna can work normally, it is necessary to ensure its reliable quality, regardless of the selection of the antenna or the production process of the antenna.


The general circuit board cannot match the basic performance of the antenna. At present, the most suitable one is the ceramic circuit board. Ceramic circuit boards have several advantages, mainly reflected in:
1. The dielectric constant is small, the high frequency loss is small, and the signal transmission is more complete;

2. A tighter, lower resistance metal film layer. The bonding strength between the metal layer and the ceramic substrate is high, and the maximum can reach 45 MPa (the strength of the ceramic piece larger than 1 mm thick); the conductivity of the metal layer is good, for example, the volume resistivity of the obtained copper is less than 2.5×10-6 Ω. Cm, the heat is small when the current passes;

3. Good insulation. The antenna in use will have high voltage. High voltage is a very dangerous existence. The ceramic circuit board has good insulation and the breakdown voltage is up to 20KV/mm, which can effectively protect personal safety and equipment protection.

4. High density assembly is possible. The ceramic circuit board line/pitch (L/S) resolution can reach 20μm, which makes the communication equipment short, small, light and thin.

A ceramic circuit board for an antenna is one of them.
