As a source of information for automotive electronic control systems, automotive sensors are key components of automotive electronic control systems and are valued by more and more auto manufacturers as the main future development. direction.
The automobile sensor is an input device of the automobile computer system, which converts various working condition information of the automobile operation, such as the vehicle speed and the temperature of various media into an electric signal and sends it to the computer, so as to promote the engine to maintain a good running state.
 
The quality of a car sensor is related to the safety performance of the car. As people pay more attention to technology, the requirements for sensor quality are getting higher and higher. Therefore, strict standards are set when purchasing parts. Traditional automotive sensors use metal-based boards that cannot be matched to high-profile requirements. After many research and testing by manufacturers, the most stable and reliable ceramic boards are selected.


Ceramic circuit boards are very important in improving the overall quality of automotive sensors. They have many advantages that traditional boards can't match, mainly in three aspects:
 
1. Higher thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of the traditional aluminum-based circuit board MCPCB is 1~2w/mk, and the thermal conductivity of copper itself is 383.8w/mk, but the thermal conductivity of the insulating layer is only about 1.0w/mk, and the better can reach 1.8w/ Mk, the thermal conductivity of the alumina ceramic is 15 to 35 w/mk, the thermal conductivity of the aluminum nitride ceramic is 170 to 230 w/mk, and the thermal conductivity of the copper substrate is 2 w/mk. The ceramic substrate uses ceramic sheets as the substrate, and no insulating layer is needed. The heat on the copper lines is directly transmitted to the ceramic sheets to dissipate, and the thermal conductivity of the ceramic sheets is completely preserved.
 
2. A more matching coefficient of thermal expansion. The material of the sensor chip is generally silicon. The thermal expansion coefficient of the ceramic chip and the chip is close to each other, and there is no problem that the temperature difference is drastically changed and the line is de-soldered and the internal stress is caused.
 
3. Corrosion resistance. Everyone knows that the environment in which the interior parts of the car are in operation is very harsh, often under high temperature and strong corrosion. According to reports, metal corrosion has caused an average loss of 150-250 US dollars per vehicle per year in the world, and car recalls due to corrosion of auto parts are not rare. The ceramic circuit board uses inorganic non-conductive ceramic as the substrate, and then the metal is directly in contact with the ceramic, which has strong corrosion resistance and does not damage the sensor like the metal-based material.
