Ceramic roughness processing
Location:Home > Ceramics process >Ceramic roughness processing

The surface roughness is the protruding peak and concave valley with a lot of unevenness left on the surface of ceramics after forming and sintering. It must be processed through the ceramic processing equipment such as internal and external circular grinder and centerless grinder.

The surface with matching requirements or relative motion requirements on ceramic parts is indicated by Ra value. The smaller the Ra value, the higher the surface quality and the higher the processing cost. The larger Ra value should be selected as far as possible to reduce the cost when meeting the use requirements.

Surface roughness machining methods:
1. Rough machining surface: planing and milling are used for non-contact surface, such as chamfering and drilling
2. Processing of inner hole surface: using polishing machine, internal grinding equipment, etc
3. Most smooth surface (mirror) : grinding, mirror grinding, ultra-fine grinding, etc
